Principle #2: Learning Differences
As an educator, I will have to keep in mind of the various learning differences of my students. It cannot be stressed enough of how differently students learn and how teachers must try all that they can to accommodate that so their students can be well equipped to learn.
Principle #5: Application of Content
I believe that one of the reasons for education is to help students become well equipped leaders in our communities. However, schools should be one of the opportunities where it allows students to think outside of their small circles and to think globally and to discover ways to give back to their community.
Principle #9: Professional Learning and EthicalPractice
I am not just an educator but a leader in my community. I not only serve my students but also my community. I must always realize that whatever I do each day can affect not only a student's life but their families and the community. I have to also think globally and make sure that I am equipped to serve my diverse community.
Principle #10: Leadership and Collaboration
I do not need to be alone as an educator. There are so many good examples to help me to become the best teacher for my students, school, and community. I need to remember that it is completely fine to collaborate with other educators and to find the best way to aid my students.
